Fire Prevention Week
Last week was fire prevention week and at RLMPS we had Mr. Faulds go back and forth between classes teaching them about fire safety. The primary kids learned about fire alarms and how to get out of there house if there were a fire. The Junior and Intermediate students learned about fire alarms, carbon monoxide, and what to do if your clothes catch on fire.
The Students at RLMPS also participated in a poster contest. The winners for the contest are: Alexander, Jaxen, and Adalynn. Congratulations!!
Welcome back, Ravens!
We are happy to be back for another school year filled with amazing opportunities for learning and fun. It is always amazing to see how much our students have grown in two short months over the summer. Our first week of school was filled with big smiles and reunions of friends and staff. We welcome some new staff and students to our school and hope they will feel at home in our Raven nest!
As we settle into our back to school routines, we ask our parents for help by turning the forms from our First day packages, which were distributed on the first day of school. If your child didn't bring one home, please stop by the office for another copy.
Please watch for students coming and going from the school when you are driving, taking extra caution and slowing down in our school zone. As always, the parking lots can be hazardous areas and students are reminded to avoid walking behind cars when coming to school or leaving for the day.
If you are new to Red Lake, we welcome you to our community and encourage you to come for a tour of our school. Registration is always open!
Welcome back to school - let's have a great 2016 - 2017 school year!
